My name is Sean. I was born in Tallahassee and grew up in the north side of town near Georgia. I received my AA at Tallahassee Community College and am studying political science at FSU with minors in International Affairs and Education and will be graduating Summer of 2023. After graduation, I hope to get my master's degree and eventually work for the State Department as a diplomat.
My experience with technology in educational settings mostly comes from situations as a student. During 2020 and 2021 I gained a lot of experience with Zoom and class instruction through it. I have also gained experience with Microsoft products through educational situations, such as Microsoft word for writing assignments and papers, Microsoft PowerPoint for class presentations, and OneDrive to store and organize all my learning materials in one place. I also have utilized translation technology when I tutored ESOL students to help fill in the gaps of my Spanish.
One of the main components of my Persona Learning Network (PLN), are online applications such as Canvas and OneDrive where I can find and organize all my leaning materials. I also use other online applications such as Duolingo, to help further my language learning and connect with my friends who are learning a language as well. I use news networks as well, like Euronews, to keep up on world news and supplement my learning about international affairs. My PLN includes many people too, including students that I have classes with or am studying similar subjects as, and my teachers. My PLN also extends to Model United Nations where I can implement what I have learned about international affairs and discuss it with people studying similar subjects.
Hi Sean! I completely relate to gaining experience on Zoom after COVID, I had never used Zoom until 2020. I am also extremely familiar with Microsoft products and have been using them for school since Elementary school.
