Web Design Assignment

Working on the website design assignment, I learned how to design a basic website, which is something that will likely prove useful in my future career. I thought the concept of the assignment was interesting and was applicable to real life which made it more useful. Because the internet is so important in the professional world and a website is an excellent way to share information, the skills to make a website will be very useful. Regardless of the career, having the knowledge to set up a website will be a huge help in being able to share information.

Diigo

With the assignments using Diigo, I have learned the skills to use it and understand its many uses. I think that Diigo could be very useful with any group, whether it be a classroom or professional team, to share resources with each other. This could make it easier to work collaboratively and work more efficiently. Its also a good way to save resources that you have found sot hat not only others but yo can look at it later.

Padlet

I have enjoyed using padlet for the portfolio assignments. It’s very visually pleasing and it makes it easy to put things in one place to easily find it. The biggest thing that I have learned is how to use paste and other online applications that are similar to Padlet. I think that I could see myself using padlet in the future either professionally or personally to organize or share information. I think that it would be very useful in the classroom to either share information with students or for them to Sartre information with you.

Technology and Teacher Professional Development

I believe that one of a teachers’ many responsibilities is to stay up to date on technological innovations and to teach their students how to use technology. This can be very difficult because technology I always evolving. One possibility to try up to date on these innovations is its the University of Minnesota’s Educational Technology Innovations (ETI) page. Here, the university shares emerging ETI’s that teachers can use to better teach their students.
