EME2040 

For EME2040 I have been on the online section. Because of this, most of my interaction with the class has been through canvas. It has made me think, though, that as I teacher I would want to ensure that my classroom assignments remain fun and fresh each week. I think that that is one of the best ways of keeping students engaged in the class and the material.  

Open Educational Resources (OER) 

Open educational resources are online resources that can be used for free. OERs can also be changed or remixed for your own purpose and can then be shared. The OER that I found is called 100 People: A world Portrait, which is a resource designed to help students see different places around the world through the perspective of 100 people across the world.This resource contains photo galleries, videos, and articles that can all be used reused for educational purposes. 

 

Assignment 4: PowerPoint for Information Dissemination 

In assignment 4, I learned how to better use PowerPoint for teaching purposes. I also better understand how to organize the slides better to help teach with them them. I liked that the assignment had us run through the whole proccess of creating the PowerPoint, finding the resources for it, and then presenting it as if we were teaching. I don’t think I had any problems with the assignment, though I’m sure taking the assignment in the online section makes the assignment a little different for presentation.
