Diigo   I think that Diego is a very interesting concept. I think that it could drive as an excellent way for educators to share articles and information and provide feedback with each other. I also like how these articles can be sorted by using tags, so it is easier to find information related to what you are looking for. My initial experience with Diego was good so I don’t have anything negative to say about it.     Blogging Process   I think one of the positive aspects of blogging is that you can take what you have learned or feel and put it into words. This helps to solidify your knowledge and to better understand your opinions and feelings on things . I don’t like the idea of it being a public blog that other people can read, however, because most of the things that I write about wouldn’t be helpful except for the blogs where I am explaining a concept that I just learned. Other than that, though, I think blogging can be helpful process, and depe...

Twitter   I have never used Twitter much. I don’t believe that Twitter is particularly helpful to me because content is not verified so it is not always accurate. I do, however, see that it c ould be beneficial to connect to people and groups to find and share information. Because of this, twitter could be useful in my future career to find people and groups that could help me with questions that I have or to share information with a large group of people.     Digital Divide   Because technology can be such a powerful tool for school, work, and social life, having this initial divide makes it so s ome people don’t have as many skills and knowledge of how to use these po werful tools . Without these skills, they won't be able to use them as effectively or receive as many of the benefits that come with them. One of the causes of this digital divide is unequal access to technology because of monetary restraints, meaning some people don’t have the money to ge...

Standard one of the ELA technology standards in Communication and Collaboration. Through this standard, teachers show students how to work together and share information using digital and online tools. This includes online searches using keywords, exchanging information online, using online technology to problem-sole, and receive feedback on their progress with this standard. As a digital native, I am familiar with the use of online communication and information gathering, so I believe this skill will put me in a good position to teach this standard. For fifth grade world languages, interpretive listening is a tool used to teach world languages. For this tool teachers use gestures, actions, and images to teach students words and phrases and how to apply them to their own lived and experiences and to understand the world around them in the target language. To do this, teachers must use culturally appropriate materials in the target language. Through these materials, students will list...

Copyright and Fair Use   Copyright is a type of legal protection that gives someone exclusive right to creative work . Fair use allows materials to be copied or used from copywriter materials if it is for nonprofit educational purposes . If the user can use it depends on just on how it is used (it can't be to make money and must be for educational purposes ) but it also depends on how much of the copywriter material is being used. As a teacher, I believe that it would be a good idea to assume that every source is copyrighted and include the appropriate citations with it. This is also a very important concept to teach to students, ensuring that students know how to protect their own creative works and how to not endings on the copywriter of other people's works.     Technology Implementation Issues   A s students use other people’s works as sources in their own academic endeavors, it is very important to teach students how to ensure that they are ...
